Abstract: The article describes the treatment regimens for inflammatory disease of the distal limb area in sports horses on the example of rotting hoof arrow. The research was conducted at an equestrian school. The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of a polyguanidine solution of a lower concentration than was previously used. The comparative bactericidal efficacy of the drug was compared with low-molecular weight analogues. To determine the rate of recovery in hoof pathology using foot baths with solutions of polyguanidine and a low molecular weight compound, which are an alternative to antibiotic therapy. As a result of the conducted studies, it was found that the evaluated drug belonging to the polyguanidine group accelerates the recovery of animals for 4 days, and the cost of treatment is 3 times cheaper.
