Summary The fundamental factor affecting people's health is nutrition. A proper and balanced diet helps the better functioning of the body, as well as contributes to the prevention of diseases and creates favorable conditions for the body to adapt to the environment. Dietary fiber is such a component of food that is not completely digested in the body. They contribute to the saturation of the body, digestive juice is released, foods are better absorbed. Fiber has a positive effect on the health of the liver, gallbladder, gastrointestinal tract. Lack of fiber leads to disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, dysbiosis, a decrease in the function of the immune system, an increase in the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
