Summary Gingivostomatitis - pets are quite common in clinical practice, which serves as a reason for contacting a veterinary specialist. The etiological factor of this pathology is the presence of opportunistic microflora on the mucous membranes of the oral cavity. An important factor in successful treatment is the determination of the sensitivity of microorganisms to drugs. The use of antimicrobial agents allows reducing bacterial contamination, but the rate of regenerative processes occurring on damaged mucous membranes is low. Considering the specific composition of mucosal microflora, chemotherapeutic agents and preparations of plant origin, in particular, lemon monard oil extract, are included in the treatment regimen. According to the conducted studies, the use of preparations based on medicinal herbal raw materials reduces the treatment time and treatment frequency in this pathology.
