Summary At the present stage of development, selection progress in animal husbandry is directly related to the latest developments in the field of molecular genetics. DNA technologies are currently used to predict the genetic potential of animal productivity, assess the reliability of the origin of offspring from parent individuals, and research in the field of population genetics. Improving the efficiency of control over the origin of breeding animals is one of the most important tasks of breeding livestock. Genotyping of animals is a scientific basis for confirming the origin of offspring from certain parent individuals. The purpose of the thesis was to determine the reliability of the origin of Holstein cattle belonging to the breeding reproducer "N", using molecular genetic analysis methods.
