Summary The effect of the live weight of repair pigs during the first insemination on their reproductive qualities during the first felling was investigated. The optimal live mass for the first insemination was found to be 146-155 kg. An increase in the live weight of pigs at the time of the first insemination of 10 kg to a live weight of 155 kg entails an increase in the number of live-born piglets at the time of the first sprouting of 1.1 head.
Keywords: pigs, live mass, insemination, reproducible qualities.
