Summary In the context of a significant reduction in the volume of mineral fertilizers, it is advisable to use siderates as an alternative source of supply of basic nutrients to the soil. The conducted studies showed a positive effect of vico-oat and pea-oat mixture smelled as siderates on the increase in barley yield. The use of rapeseed, mustard, narrow-leaved lupine, fodder beans and buckwheat as siderates was significantly inferior to the embedded mass of pea-and-oats mixture.
Key words: siderates, soil fertility, barley yield.
