Summary The article deals with the actual problem of animal feed production in the region. The article describes the main stages of silage, provides examples of the use of various types of silos, and also discusses problems related to the quality of feed and their storage. A number of recommendations are proposed to improve the silage process and improve the quality of animal feed in the Sverdlovsk region. At the same time, an important topic of the use of chemicals in the production of silage is being considered. Various types of drugs, their advantages and disadvantages, as well as recommendations for their use are described. Attention is drawn to the influence of chemicals on the quality of silage and animal health.
